Darlington -- Injuries received in an explosion more than two weeks ago in the basement at his home proved fatal Monday afternoon to Dr. Milton H. LIDIKAY, 76 veterinarian here for 42 years. Dr. Lidikay died at 2:30 p.m. at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been under treatment. He was injured July 23 when an accumulation of gas in his basement exploded as Dr. Lidakay attempted to light a gas heater. The accident victim was born Sept 13, 1872 near Ladoga. He was married June 25, 1901 to Bertie Lee FOSTER of Ladoga. Mrs. Lidikay preceded her husband in death June 24, 1948. Dr. Lidikay was graduated from Ontario Veterinarian College in 1907 and moved to Darlington shortly afterward to start his practice. He was a member of the Darlington Masonic Lodge and would have received his 50-year-pin this fall. He was a member of the Indiana Veterinarians association of which his son, Dr. Henry A. Lidikay is president. The survivors include two sons, Dr. Henry A. Lidakay of Darlington; Harry D. Lidikay of St. Genevieve, Missouri,; a brother, CJ Lidakay of Hattiesburg MS; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Lash of Los Angeles and Mrs. Daisy Cayot of Kansas city MO; and two grandchildren, Lyle and Marilee. Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. AL Vermillion of Jamestown will be in charge with burial in Green Lawn Cemetery. - typed by kbz
